This thread is for our upcoming Thursday Admin Office Hours session on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Please note that it will be 1 hour later than usual due to scheduling conflict: this session will start at noon PT / 1pm MT / 2pm CT / 3pm ET.  I plan to return to the usual time slot next week.

Hi Scott, Happy New Year. 

I am facing an issue when trying to connect ServiceNow objects. Apparently, there is a journal object which has a id field that is of data type Char. And when I am trying to merge that object on that field with the sys id field of case object, then it is not working. The error is thrown when saving the complete job. Basically, job won't save if I am using that Char field from Journal object.

I would like to take your thoughts and see what is the work around for this. Thank you.

Hi Scott,

I have a survey being sent from a program (advanced- new design). The survey is transactional and is associated with the object Guided Trial with a Field ID of Trial ID

My question is - how can I report by this context? I’m a bit lost as to which field in which object should have this information.

Trying to have emails sent via journey orchestrator to log in our SFDC timeline, but running into an issue when trying to find the appropriate Person ID field to sync.

When creating an Engagement and mapping the dialog box to a left-nav menu item, the mapping fails after saving if the target is in the slide-out menu. Our left nav has one fixed list of items, and hovering expands a secondary slide-out with more options. If I map to an element in the slide-out menu it works initially, but after saving I get “mapped element not found.” error.

Is there a recommended way to reliably map to those slide-out menu elements?
