Hi Scott,

We have a NPS Survey that is part of an active JO Program that runs quarterly .  We are considering adding a token field to the last matrix response “Relationship management” in the question “1. How satisfied are you with the following experiences with Experian Health…” to insert the Current Relationship Manager’s name.

I use that question in a Data Designer to calculate the average response score.  I am wondering how adding that token will change the field label in my DD filters.

Thanks,

Rhonda

hey @sdrostgainsightcom !

I have questions about people Maps, specifically around the data, in the context of reporting on the actual Map structure and related meta-data.

I have found Namedmap Hierarchy and Namedmap Details MDA objects:

  • Hierarchy appears to only have data for Custom maps
  • Details appears to include Custom and Sub Hierarchy maps
  • Neither appear to contain info on the Primary org chart
  • There is also a People Maps Influencers MDA, and I’m not sure how that fits in but I’m guessing Sponsor tracking?
  • Note: We are on NXT hybrid, if that matters

My main questions are:

  • What object, if any, can I use to find data on the Primary hierarchy map? Or, if it’s in one of those objects already, how do I identify it? If they’re there, they’re hiding.
  • Are there any other objects useful for People Maps aside from the 2-3 I mentioned?
  • Functionally, what are the main differences between the two Namedmap objects? What is the main use case to use one vs. the other?

I have reviewed the People maps documentation (https://support.gainsight.com/gainsight_nxt/07360/User_Guides/Build_People_Maps#Components_of_People_Maps) and found it...wanting for useful information.

Hi @bradley -- yes we can talk during the session later, but this link might have all the info you need:

https://support.gainsight.com/gainsight_nxt/Gainsight_Object_Glossary/CS_Object_Glossary/People_Maps_Objects

The “CS Object Glossary” page a level above it is also a good page to have bookmarked -- I know they’ve been working on getting these up-to-date recently:

https://support.gainsight.com/gainsight_nxt/Gainsight_Object_Glossary/CS_Object_Glossary/People_Maps_Objects

One other item -- the basic People Maps are (I believe, so take it with a grain of salt for the moment) entirely based on the “Manager” field on Company Person -- whatever Company Person ID is plugged in there as the Manager shows up in the People Map hierarchy.

Hope that all helps - talk with you in a couple hours!

Scott

Thanks @sdrostgainsightcom I was looking for that and couldn’t find it from search oops. Probably still want to join to make sure I’m looking for the primary map correctly, which didn’t seem to show in either object, but like the search, could be user error :)

Talk with you then, @bradley -- and side note, I always recommend people Google for “Gainsight NXT specific search string”  to find articles quickly vs. the search bar in the Knowledgebase itself -- seems that the google thing is still pretty hard to beat at searching!

Issue with “Calculated Field” in DD or Rules, for Aggregation.  Not sure if I am just doing it wrong or if it is broken.

Hi Scott,

Just following up on the duplicates report that you helped me with last week...I created a ticket and spoke with Akhil Sai Guruju from L2 yesterday. It sounds like “merge” isn't an option especially if there are any activities on a duplicates record or dependencies. I can share more details on the call but I’d like to talk through this if you have time today.

Thank you!

Kellie

Hi @rho_ran_experian -- had some time to start testing the edited question, with token, in a live survey -- and it doesn’t appear to break a DD so far, but trying to stress test it a bit.  Also, there are some nuances that I’ll post here after Office Hours today for you unless you drop into today’s session -- just wanted to let you know!
