Hello!

We are trying to use a bionic rule to push back information to Salesforce Account object. We currently have a validation rule set up in SFDC to make sure that fields for which we want Gainsight to be the source of truth are not modifiable in Salesforce. The issue is that this validation rule is also blocking us from making updates with the bionic rule.

Is there any sort of information coming from Gainsight we can use to make an exception to this validation rule? In particular, when you try to modify SFDC Account via rules engine, what user actually is logged as making the “change” in SFDC? Is there a user that we can exclude from the rule to allow the modification to take place?

Submitting on behalf of Sarthak Subudhi (Riverbed Technologies):

"I was reviewing the configuration in timeline view to add an additional filter: "Meeting Type" (sub-level of Activity Type), but did not find the right place to configure it. I looked up online, but could not find any documentation to guide me on it. Can you please submit a request for a CSA to provide some support here?"

@sdrostgainsightcom - We’re wanting to implement the Account Contact Relationship in our Salesforce instance. I’m working on scoping all the implications of that for Gainsight… I’d like to go through some of my questions. If you’ve gone through this process or if Gainsight utilizes that, I’d like to know some best practices and things you’ve ran into.
