Hi! I had a couple questions

  1. What’s the best way to segment data into categories? For example, we upload Overdue Balances and one of the fields--Days in Aging would ideally be separated into 0-30, 31-60, etc. What’s the best way to do that?
  2. Is there a way to show NPS Response Percentages in a table for reporting?

Thank you 😎

Hi Scott, I have multiple questions today based on items I’m working on and trying to deploy them to production next week.

  1. How to add “help text” to fields on the “Add Relationship” flyout panel?
  2. On a custom object, populating a lookup field to Relationship via rule is not working. However it is working for Company and Activity Timeline lookups.
  3. In Data management,  custom object, custom field config, advanced options, what does “Mapping / Map To” do?
  4. In Data management, custom object, custom field config, advanced options, what does “On Delete” do?
  5. How to delete records in a custom object via rule?
  6. Tuesday’s post on how to add instance-wide filters to Timeline did not

Hey Scott Need help with a CTA Creation rule. Wondering if I can populate an extra field other than the current options shown.

Hi Scott -

I have a question about possibly embedding a Salesforce report on the C360. I’ll be a little late (1:20 or 1:30 most likely).

Scott -

I was wondering if you could help me to figure out a way (as part of a rule) to find the MAX value for 4 dates on the Company object.

Hi @sdrostgainsightcom : regarding item # 2 on my list of questions.

On my custom object I defined a field of type String (not GSID) and mapped it to Relationship.GSID. Then I updated my rule to populate this field using the Relationship.GSID which the rule logic identified > map to ID (String type) field in my custom object > mapped in data management to Relationship.GSID.

It worked. The custom object field (of type String) got populated. Also in Reports, Gainsight does recognize the custom field as a lookup, and is able to pull the data from the associated Relationship record.

I don’t have to do this for Company lookup. I use GSID all the way w/ no String in between and it worked from day 1.

Activity Timeline doesn’t seem to have a GSID-type field at all. I mapped String-String from day 1 and the lookup worked.

Quite a bit of inconsistency in how lookup fields need to be populated.
