Best way to translate custom buttons?

Hi there!

When using custom buttons in the V2 Editor, I’m having a hard time translating/localizing them. When I import a XLIFF for another language, I cannot make any changes to the button (like changing the text, button action etc) without significant meddling in the HTML. Is there a better way to localize custom buttons easily?
