Without seeing how your pop-up box was designed, it’s hard to pinpoint the solution. However, I will assume this is a pop-up with lots of fields to complete before you go to the next screen. Here is what I did for one of my pop-ups that consisted of multiple steps:

• Step 1: For the pop-up box with lots of fields, I used a tooltip guide for the entire pop-up so that users can enter the text while the pop-up is still visible. Make sure you map the tooltip to the entire pop-up dialog. Use the Navigation Bar for this step.

   

• Step 2: I will assume your pop-up has a “Next” button that takes you to the next step. So the next step of your guide will be mapped to this button (use the Click in Target Element navigation)

   

• If you have required fields in the pop-up box, there is that risk that users clicked the navigation button without entering the required fields. I ended the guide on Step 2. If they did not enter a required field, the user can complete the fields and click the Next button again. 

• I had another screen that continued after this popup so I created a separate guide that would launch only after the user completed this last guide.

Thanks for your reply, but i did try most of the things 

Issue is if we click somewhere outside the box (e.g. Next button) popup closes. If there was a delay option in individual steps that would have solved the problem. Moving from walkme, which had a lot of options in editor. 

Any other solution in mind?
