Step 1:

Please go ahead and create an NPS/Rating survey.

 

Note: The steps for Rating survey and NPS survey will remain the same except change of URL if you want to show it on different URL of your application or web page

 

Rating Survey

Under Audience Logic: 

  • Please select Users (add user that you wish to share this Survey with) from the Persona based rules on the right hand side pane
  • Please select URL (add the URL of the page where you want this survey to be populated in your application/web page) from the System based rules on the right hand side pane

Please add In-App Engagement Qualification scope basis your requirement and then go ahead and launch the engagement.

Step 2:

Please go ahead and create the Email Engagement 

Under Audience Logic:

  • Please select Users (add user that you wish to share this email with it can be the same sets of users who you have added in the survey audience logic or can use selected set of users) from the Persona based rules on the right hand side pane

Template:

  • Select the template that best works for you/your team. You would need to add custom button (NPS and Rating Survey) in the content step which is in below screenshot i am attaching the screenshot for the same as well

Adding Custom Button which is highlighted on the right hand side pane.

When you click on Custom Button a new window will pop up" Button editor" screenshot. Please give name under Text - NPS/Rating Survey and you can add 2 custom buttons.

Once Custom Buttons are added please go ahead and add the same link which you have given while creating NPS and Rating Survey via URL Rule

In case the positioning of the Custom Button is not aligned, please follow the below steps and it should work for you fine.

  • Just edit the html source to remove the middle </p> <p> element as per below screenshot

Once the above steps are done you can go ahead and Schedule In-App Engagement Qualification scope and then go ahead and launch the engagement,

Hi @Vkakani,

I think I’m confused. 🙂 Is this to send an email to users and when they click on the button it will take them into the product to the selected page and the rating survey will appear for them?

What would the scheduling/qualification scope need to be for that work?

It looks like you have 2 buttons in the email, but I’m not sure why you would need them.

I think this sounds like an intriguing idea and would like to investigate further.

Since PX helps receives survey responses from the users who are active on the platform, so emailing inactive users to come back to platform to leave a survey response by giving the link of the page on which the survey is active was something I was trying to solve.
Qualification scope would be with no end date, and show only once as we might not know when the user would click the link.
2 buttons were just a example to show a Rating or NPS survey.

One more way this can also be executed to collect responses would be to add a query parameter in the URL CTA button in email, and add the same query parameter in audience logic of the survey to only show to the users who interacted with email engagement
