You can convert articles at the topic level to become product updates. All fields available on the article except content helpfulness will be carried over in the new product update. Topic-level subscriptions will be carried over. Also, a redirection will be in place to redirect the old article to the new product update.
Temporary note: As attachments are not yet supported for Product updates, if you convert an article with attachments, they will not be caried over. To note attachment are planned to be implemented for Product updates
WARNING: This conversion is only possible from article to Product update. You can NOT convert back a Product update to be article!
How to convert an article to become a product update?
- This conversion option is available upon request. Reach out to your CSM to have it enabled
- Go the the article topic modeation page in Contol
- Click "more options" in the top right
- Click "Convert to Product Update"”
- Click "Convert" in the confirmation pop up
- You will be redirected to the Product updates overview in Control. Your new product product updates may take a few seconds to appear
