Re-Enabled Gainsight Widget in Zendesk
We’re excited to share that the Gainsight widget in Zendesk has been re-enabled with stronger access control and improved security.
This update ensures users have the right level of access while maintaining a secure and seamless experience inside Zendesk.
What Changed
- When you establish a Zendesk connection and link Gainsight to Zendesk, Gainsight automatically creates a user with a Viewer license.
- When a user logs in to the Zendesk widget:
- Gainsight verifies whether the user exists in Gainsight.
- If the user exists, the widget applies the user’s actual Gainsight license and permissions.
- If the user does not exist or does not have the required license, the widget continues to operate with Viewer-level access.
