Live-search: Coming soon!
We're really happy to share that live-search will be enabled on your communities in the next week. Not sure what live-search is? Head over to my previous post to learn more on this new feature.
In the past weeks, we've been working hard on the search engines and made a couple of improvements to the live-search dropdown:
- Exact search hits will be highlighted in bold when you start typing
- Search results list now interacts with your keyboard, use your arrow-up and the arrow-down key to navigate through the list of results. Press enter to visit the topic.
- Press escape to cancel your search query and close the dropdown with results
In order to release live-search and make it work together with the search results pages we needed to make some under the hood changes. These changes caused a collision with the sorting filters on the search results pages, therefore the sorting options are currently disabled. We are aware of this issue and investigating it. We believe that the new search algorithm in combination with live-search will bring better results to you and your users, therefore this is our top priority to bring this your communities first.

- Topic context has been added next to the topic title, you can now easily see what kind of topic, question or article was created- Exact search hits will be highlighted in bold when you start typing
