🔑 Reduce password fatigue, with Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

No one likes having to deal with lots of passwords and accounts, even if you’re using a password manager.

That’s why we’re happy to share that it’s now possible to set up Google SSO on your community as a registration/login method. Once enabled, end users can choose to sign up to the community using their existing Google account.

With Google Single Sign-On, you can:

✅ Enable end users to register using their Google account on the community, alongside any existing sign-on methods you’ve enabled.

✅ Test that everything’s working before you go live with Google SSO as a new authentication method, using our built-in SSO testing tool.

See it in action on the Looker community!

Enable end users to sign in with Google.

@daniel.boon if we enable this and a user already has an account with our community, does it create a new user or does it merge with an existing user?

FYI: I am no longer active in this community

Great question @DannyPancratz → if the emails are the same, it’ll merge with the existing user.
