Heads up - tomorrow (Tue 20 July 2021) we will be removing the counter next to Subscriptions from the user profile dropdown menu.

We discovered accuracy issues with the number that we show for subscriptions in the menu. In particular, this number can differ from the number shown on the actual subscriptions page, once you click through. This is not always the case, but is caused by issues like the user no longer having access to the topic, or the topic being trashed.

 

After assessing the feasibility of fixing the underlying issue, we’ve determined that it’ll be very complex to solve. As a result, we’ve come to the decision to remove the counter to eliminate the inconsistency and to avoid confusion with your superusers and end users.

Hi  @daniel.boon, thanks for the update.  

Our users experience a long response time for opening their subscriptions. Depending on the number of favorites, loading takes 5 to 20 seconds(!)
Is this part of the issue, and can something be done about that?

Hey @Nadia2 - thanks for sharing your users’ feedback! That’s an unrelated issue I’m afraid. I’ve passed your feedback on to our engineers - unfortunately it doesn’t seem likely that there’ll be any quick fixes in terms of performance.
