We've been busy in June. This round of updates touches a little bit of everything, from how your AI Tutor processes content, to how learners rate courses, to a few platform improvements that you’ve been asking for.

🤖 AI Tutor Enhancements

  • SCORM & PDF Support: Skilljar’s AI Tutor can now learn from SCORM packages and PDF documents.
    • Upload your existing training materials and the AI Tutor will use them as context to answer learner questions, guide practice exercises, and reinforce key concepts.
    • The AI Tutor now draws from it all, giving learners accurate, context-aware help grounded in your full curriculum.
  • AI Tutor: Claude Sonnet 4.6 Now Available: You can now select Claude Sonnet 4.6 as the LLM powering your AI Tutor.
    • Claude Sonnet 4.6 delivers strong reasoning and better handling of nuanced training content, giving your learners a noticeably improved tutoring experience.
    • Admins can now choose their preferred model in the AI Tutor configuration settings, Claude or ChatGPT, and have more control over how the AI Tutor performs for your audience.

Anthropic (Claude) is now available as an AI Model Provider in AI Tutor Domain Settings

🌟 Course Ratings New 10-Point Scale

Course ratings now support an NPS-style 10-point scale, giving you more granular insight into how learners feel about your content.

This scale helps you identify which courses are truly excelling and which ones need attention, making it easier to prioritize content improvements where they'll have the most impact.

📁 HTML Lessons: Larger Files Content Support

HTML lessons now support up to 6 MB of content, removing a critical blocker for teams building AI-powered content creation workflows.

If you've been using tools like Claude to generate polished, branded HTML lessons and publishing them to Skilljar via MCP or API, you may have hit a wall at the publish step. The previous 100 KB limit meant rich lessons with custom fonts, brand icons, and interactive elements were getting rejected, forcing you to strip out brand elements, and split lessons just to get it to publish.

That's now resolved. Larger HTML lessons publish to Skilljar without any manual size trimming.

🔗 Certificate Redirect on Domain Settings

Instead of sending learners to Skilljar-hosted URLs after earning certificates, you can now surface a verification page under your own domain [university.yourcompany.com/verify/…

This makes it possible to control exactly where a learner lands when they earn a certificate, whether that's a congratulations page, a next-steps guide, or a custom branded destination.

Note: Once you enable the new redirects on a domain, all new certificate links will use your branded URL automatically and any previously shared links will redirect seamlessly and your learners always land where you intend.
