We’re just starting to get useful product usage data. I’m planning for the future here as I note that there’s a Product Usage widget on the Account page in Staircase - could someone share how that data is populated? I’m very interested in leveraging it, if possible, to create Insights and possibly Lifecycle Events. Thanks!

Hey @dcassidy

To populate the Product Usage widget, you'll need to sync a numeric field (e.g., Total Daily Logins) from your CRM, S3 bucket, or a direct Mixpanel integration. This guide walks through how to map those fields.

Once mapped, you can also add those fields as metrics in your Health Score config. More details can be found here

Hope this helps! 😊

@bradybluhm I tried to ask this during office hours but there was so much information. Do you have any information you can share here? @bradley would also like to know. Thanks!

Samantha nailed the setup steps. To add a bit more context: the Product Usage widget is designed to show trend data over time, so once your fields are synced and flowing, you'll start seeing weekly/monthly patterns that are useful for spotting adoption dips or surges at the account level.

As a heads up, the Product Usage fields that you sync have limited influence within Staircase today. You can incorporate the scores you add as a part of the overall ST Health Score weighting and you can track the usage over time in the Usage widget on the account page. It is not incorporated into our AI analysis at this time, though we are seriously looking at how we will start to incorporate it in our roadmap. We know it will be particularly helpful for scaled accounts and for churn risk / adoption tracking.
