Report on External Attendees from Timeline

We would like to be able to report on external attendees from timeline data.  More importantly being able to report on the most recently contacted attendee.

Use Case:
We want to be able to see when a team member last reached out to a specific point of contact (External attendee). Would be nice to be able to see a widget like this in the C360:

Name Title Role Activity Type Most Recent Activity Date
Joe Smith Operations Analyst Day-to-Day Call 10/5/2017 10:00:39 AM
Jane Doe Director of Operations Technical Champion Meeting 9/30/2017 2:30:45 PM

Jessica Rabbit CIO Executive Sponsor Meeting 9/30/2017 2:30:45 PM

Hi Dan and Chris,  Did this feature make it into the winter release?  I'm not seeing anything in the release notes and just today had a user as about reporting on external attendees within a Timeline activity.

Hi Nancy, this feature got pushed out a bit. Still on the near term roadmap, but not in the next release or two (we are on monthly releases now).

Great! We were just talking about this at a meeting. Our use case here is to report on leadership that joins calls with individual contributors, and we can report on leadership activity in individual meetings. This will help us calculate if they are joining and shadowing to give feedback, introduce themselves to customers, help with follow ups, etc.

+1 is this still on short term roadmap? We'd love to be able to report on this and update fields with this data using the rules engine.

Hi Dan, is this still on the roadmap? This would be very helpful for stakeholder tracking.

Yes, still on the roadmap. There are some techincal challenges associated with this that the team is ideating on. It's one of those things with software that can sound simple, but under the hood is tricky.

This would be so helpful - we want to trigger a survey to external attendees after a specific Timeline activity type is logged

@ALL,

Internal Attendees and External Attendees fields: The Activity Timeline object is now enhanced with two new fields; Internal Attendees and External Attendees. These fields return the list of internal and external attendees (respectively), who attended a particular meeting.

This feature is avialbe now please refer this article for more inforamtion.

@All, thanks for posting and happy posting!!!

It looks like the users that are external attendees are all grouped into one field. Is there a way to see how many times someone was an external attendee? We want to see who is most contacted or included in meetings/ communication

@andreammelde This can be done by running a report on Activity Attendee and grouping by Full Name and showing count of Activity ID. See example below. This will show the name of attendees and the total number of activities that they were tagged as external attendees in.
