I have a customer that has consolidated their types and would like to be able to turn off the "email" activity type, they did this to make it easier for our users to have more of a one stop shop.

+1 We're interested in this!

To condense the number of available activity types we've recently started to consolidate them with custom drop down menus.  For example, our "Log an Update" type - we've added a Communication Type (Email, Text, Phone Call, IM (Messenger), Onsite Meeting).  Thus letting us do away with the Text and Phone call activity types.

Hi Cameron,

Email Activity type is the default type that we use when creating Activities via Email Assists. Hence we don't allow them to Disable it.

Hi Hitesh,

Is there a possibility of then hiding it?  So that it could remain a system feature, but not be used by our CSMs?

Hi Sagan,

As of now, there's no way of hiding it. But will take this point to PM and plan to come up with a solution. (Something as Default Activity type drop-down for EA)

Regards,

Hitesh

We would really like to be able to turn off or hide the Email activity type as well.  We don't have a need for it (not part of our process) and we don't want to have our CSM's thinking that they need to use it.
