New Home Page: cannot unlink Portfolio and Cockpit

Bumping this up, any help would be great for a workaround.

To optimize space, we've combined the My Portfolio and Cockpit widgets into one.

Although it may not be an ideal solution, you can try the following if accessing tasks is crucial:

When configuring the Portfolio Widget, there’s an option to select either Customers or Actions. By choosing Actions, you’ll see the Cockpit view exclusively.

For Portfolio details, end users can access the Portfolio Summary via the new Summary strip.

@BVirodhula this is not at all something feasible for us. Our team requires both sections to be separate as the Portfolio is a larger widget where the team can mass-edit customer fields. 

The CTA/Tasks (Actions) widget is where we see our daily to-dos as they relate to our customer base. It is now hidden :( 

Bumping this need. These need to be able to be separate widgets. CSMs need to see CTA details, and Customer details, separately, without tabbing between the two. These are two of the most important views in Home, and forcing them to be together in the same widget is extremely limiting.

Agreed with the OP & Sarah in that having the two in one in incredibly limiting from a user experience and requires far more clicks than necessary given the previous iteration. I’ve also heard similar feedback about Timeline & Calendar but to a lesser degree.

I’m a bit confused by this reasoning -- are there technical limitations I’m unaware of? Was there large user feedback to say having those as distinct widgets was taking up too much space? It doesn’t make any sense that this was the area that Gainsight decided to prioritize given the large number of other requests around poor UI & whitespace.

Hi ​@BVirodhula thanks for getting in touch - I have already let my CSM know our feedback, but this should not be marked as “Solved.” There is functionality available in the Portfolio (Customers) report that is not available through normal reporting on GS Home. It is not a workaround to just choose between the two. There needs to be a way to separate these widgets if the customer needs it.

For example, we tried to use this workaround and only selected “Actions”, however our CSMs requested a Customers report where they could add/remove their own columns. The only feature that allows for this is the Portfolio widget. So, we needed to add it back in, and now the Actions (Cockpit) appears hidden.
