Using the data designer - when searching for fields in step 2, I notice it locks up and takes a noticeable longer time to respond when compared to how search reacts in rules. Is anyone else experiencing that? Is it just the shear number of objects that are available?

This is definitely something that we're aware of. When there are a lot of cascading lookups it can take longer to pull back all that data. Kendra's suggestion is a good one, and we are using this feedback during the beta period to learn where we need to make improvements!

Hey Shannon - I know this happens on Salesforce objects that have a lot of lookups. The team is working on a solution while this feature is still in Beta. Let me know if you're noticing it on MDA objects as well.

Also, one tip - instead of using the search box, scroll instead. Takes more time but will be quicker than searching for the moment.

Totally get the burden of the searching through lookups on lookups on lookups…

Not sure if it would make a difference, but I would be in favor of having Data Spaces available in Data Designer if it meant I could use Salesforce objects in Data Designer more reliably. As is, I haven’t been able to create a Design from a Salesforce object b/c usually I want to use something like Opportunity or Account that inherently has a lot of lookups.

@dan_ahrens is there an update on improvements to DD?  It has such promise, but the configuration is very painful.  Trying to build a dataset based off Opportunity and every time I try to add a fourth filter, DD crashes on me. Every. Time.

Hi @darkknight - I haven’t experienced that error message that you’re describing and it looks like the entire webpage in Chrome is crashing. That looks like something that our support team should get involved in.

Hi Darkknight. I worked on DD Projects. And I haven’t faced this issue.
