Highlight Mandatory Fields in CTA Before Saving

Customer Request: Would be nice to have an indicator on which fields are required Creating a new CTA before I click save and am then told I missed fields. Without an indicator in the UI (like a red star), it feels like I'm guessing on what fields I have to fill out.

Good call out, Sarah. We indicate which fields are mandatory when writing a rule to create a CTA, so this is logically similar.

This would be a huge win! We would like to be able to call-out which ones are required when the CTA is created vs when it is closed. We have some fields added that we report on while the CTA is open and others that are added to force a summary of the results when it is closed.

We have this same request! In addition to reporting, it would also be hugely helpful for items within CTA Objectives as several field inputs are needed for the Snapshot. 

 

Is there anything happening with this request? I see there hasn’t been any movement any a few years, but for our Snapshot functionality it is extremely important.

We do show a red star (*) in Create CTA form. @sami.burk @kevin.olayta Am I missing anything here?

@sriram pasupathi  The red star indicates fields which are required by default in Gainsight. The request here is to provide an indicator for fields which an Admin has marked ‘Closed Mandatory’.

Closed Mandatory works when the CTA is getting closed then it looks for those fields to be filled before CTA Closure. And to the original post, the ask is to get those field names showed up on the CTA creation level so CSM will not miss out filling it and not to wait until closing.

I believe there should be option at the layout to make a field mandatory or not, like we have it while creating the MDA. Gainsight should give privilege to customer in setting mandatory fields (custom or system) at the layout against actual MDA field config, so the purpose of a field will be met for business use case.

This ask is very much similar to post below.

Hope to get the enhancements soon. Could see more than 2 years both the enhancements are pending.
