In this article, you can learn how to promote your community categories on your homepage to help users discover and navigate to the right content.
There are four ways to promote your community on your homepage:
- With a list of parent- and child categories
- With a widget of parent categories
- With a customised quick link
- With a custom built HTML widget
Promote a list of community categories on your homepage

Sign in to a community account with user role Community Manager or Administrator

Click the purple Customize button

Hover over the homepage and determine where you want to add the groups widget. Click the plus icon (
) and select the Tabs widget -
Enable the visibility of the tab Category

Click Done in the sidebar

Click Publish. Your community categories will now appear on your homepage
The following items are optional to do:
- Rename the tab name (e.g. Community, Forums, Support)
- Reorder the position of the tabs
- Define how users will see the category list upon their first visit

Hover over the homepage and determine where you want to add the groups widget. Click the plus icon (
) and select the Community Category widget -
Select a Template

Click Done in the sidebar

Click Publish. Your community parent categories widget will now appear on your homepage
The following items are optional to do:
- Add a title (e.g. Community, Forums, Support)
Tip: Add a ‘Container 2:1’ widget to make the widgets above appear next to a sidebar
