Are you using an external event host or event management platform and would like to capture attendees and their registrations there? You now have the option to configure a button that will take the user to the registration form in one click.
How to set it up
- On the Event creation page in Control, you now can choose between Community RSVP and External RSVP options.
- Select the External RSVP option when you would like users to fill in a registration form on the event tooling you’re using or link directly to where the event will take place.
- Paste in the link where you would like to send the users and set the call to action you prefer for this button.

Good to know
- The external RSVP will not create an attendees list on the community. All users, guests or logged in, will be able to navigate to the external page configured, depending on the type of event (public or private).
- Once an event is created, the RSVP option cannot be changed. The reason for this comes from the inability to create or retrieve a reliable attendees list which is in sync with the one captured externally.
- It is possible to change the actual link and the text defined for the primary button after an event has been created, in case it is needed.
- The “Edit RSVP” option and the confirmation message on the community event page are both not available, since the actual attendance is not captured on our platform.
