2 highs and a low?

I’m thinking we could maybe “pool” our strengths and help direct others in how to strengthen our areas of refinement! Name 2 areas of strength and an area you’d like to “refine” :)
I’ll go first, I feel my strongest areas are 1) relationship building and 2) creating effective “workflows” for tedious (but necessary) tasks.
Area to strengthen - I’d like to work on the “probing” or “curious” questioning in order to identify areas our products could solve problems.

Love, Love, Love this!  Thanks for the post!

  1. Could you do another post on how you create effective “workflows” for tedious (but  necessary) tasks?  That by far is a huge area I would like to ‘refine” and would love to hear thoughts from others as well.
  2. Strengths for me are absolutely relationship building and “never say die”.  I take churned customers very personally and do everything plus some to make sure I keep all my customers getting the best ROI possible.
  3. Thoughts to help. you “refine”…. grab a couple of teammates and brainstorm specific questions that could help uncover areas your product can solve problems, then create a personal ‘cheat sheet” and put it up somewhere you look all the time on your desk.  I found that once I go through that exercise and have the sheet up for a while so it’s always top of mind, I can eventually put it away as it’s second nature (and then add another cheat sheet for something else of course)

Thanks for joining community!

  1. Sure thing - of course the “process” depends on the task, but I can address my thought process in creating workflow :)
  2. I love this attitude!!! I need to take churned customers more “personally”. I love this point of view.
  3. GREAT IDEA!!! I have post-it notes I’m constantly moving, editing, updating, and even “retiring”.

THANK YOU for this environment!!!

2 highs from me:

  • Creative Problem Identification & Solutioning: I love thinking strategically about processes and backward planning workflows; creative divergent solutioning with the intent to create or improve what “best practice” is within the constraints of a product or the available resources and tools. Critical thinking is extremely important to me and I value and encourage all critical feedback to my ideas and work.
  • Communication and Human Connections: I build relationships quickly and aim for depth in relationships quickly. Building trust with candor and honesty while building value with my ability to listen deeply and offer strategic guidance. Cross-functional connections are my wheelhouse and I integrate into product, ops, customers, CS and leadership to ensure the best alignment of needs and value possible.

a Low:

  • Organization and Inbox 0:  Being a CSM feels like a juggling act that involves a lot of context switching which puts my kind of brain into an exhausted state. I have a hard time staying organized which can lead to dropped balls in that process.  I also really don’t enjoy cleaning up my email, cockpit, etc. and put off menial tasks until they build up and I have to attack them all in a big chunk motion rather than a little at a time and in a timely manner.
