We are working on building an API connection to between our Ideas module and our RnD platform (TFS) and our Helpdesk (SysAid) and for a clean easy integration we were looking to create dedicated fields to match what is needed in our Rnd and HD platform. The capability is available for posts but not for Ideas module can it be added to Ideas as well?

In full transparency, I will admit that the post fields functionality is a very old one that has the potential to be quite difficult to extend so it covers ideas. Your use case is clear and I can see the need for this. We will look into its feasibility and, in the meantime, I am opening it up to collect votes from our community.
