Might there be support for geocode functions in reporting/rules/outreach on the roadmap?

Use case:  Using Gainsight to send invites to contacts when we host in-person events such as Lunch and Learn.  We would want to target customers based within X miles of the event.  I'm sure there are other use cases.

Thanks

This would be amazing. Currently we have power lists built for each geographical group.

We had a similar need a few years back to figure out how many customers were within certain distances of where we were evaluating to offer training.  I put together an Excel macro to perform the distance calculation based on zip code mapping to a data sheet of longitude and latitude values of all zip codes.

Feel free to leverage it, if you think it would help.  Maybe you could calculate distance from your Lunch and Learn then import the data into a custom MDA table which would allow you to do what you are looking for.

Very cool!  I'm thinking we could load the zip-code mapping table into MDA, and then use it from within a bionic rule to look up respective latitude and longitude values. Won't be able to replicate the actual distance formula though, but could do a trigonometric approximation.
