Gifts are really fun and especially meaningful when they benefit more than one person. I am a HUGE proponent of sending.gifts made by organizations that benefit various charitable causes, and I have found that my customers immediately recognize and express appreciation that I am sending.gifts that give twice.

A few examples are below. Please note that neither I nor Gainsight have any affiliation with them, these are just ones I've personally chosen to use to send.gifts to customers, as well as to friends and family:

  • That's Caring (thatscaring.com) - Baked goods, confections and wine & cheese.gifts (wine if from OneHope below!). Purchases result in weekend food bags being provided to school children from food insecure homes.
  • OneHope (onehopewine.com) - Wine, food and coffee.gifts. OneHope makes donations to an array of charitable organizations.
  • Women's Bean Project (womensbeanproject.com) - Lots of food and baking mixes (including sweets, soups, chili, dips, rubs, salsa), as well as coffee and tea. Women's Bean Project is a non-profit business dedicated to helping women break the cycle of unemployment and poverty through on-the-job training and life skills coaching.
  • Lamb's Farm (lambsfarm.org) -.gifts consisting of cookies, breads, candy, preserves and/or nuts. Lamb's Farm is a non-profit organization serving, employing and housing adults with developmental disabilities.
Enjoy feeling doubly good about the.gifts you give and eliciting that same feeling in your customers!

Thanks everyone for attending today! Here is the recording and deck of the presentation.

See below for a summary of today's Q&A:

Question: Across our lifecycle events where we include customer.gifts, do we generally send the same type of customer.gifts?
Answer: It used to be more standardized, but now we try to send.gifts more specific to each customer and their CSM's request.

Question: If you already have a.gift Basket process set up on a Custom Object in Salesforce, can you still run CTAs & Reports off of that information?
Answer: As long as that custom object has an Account Lookup, you can still run rules and reports off of that information. This is a benefit of Gainsight being Salesforce-native!

Question: If CSMs are the ones ordering.gift baskets themselves, is this process still relevant?
Answer: Definitely. While some of the value of operationalizing the process is lost when each CSM still has to go fill out the CTA, you still gain reporting and insight into your customer.gift process and spend.
