Hi,

GS is opening a new tab if you click on things.

The issue is, if you do not close the tab, you end up with so many tabs, that it will slow down your laptop.

I suggest to add an option in the user profile, so the user can decide either to open an new tab or show the information in the same tab.

By this the current behavior can remain for those that like it, and the others can change it.

Thanks!

Hi @swen,

Our user feedback told us that after using Gainsight for a while, users preferred to have customer 360 links open in a new tab, but if anyone does not want to open new tabs and they're using Chrome, they can install this extension and set it to open any links in the same tab. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/popup-blocker-strict/aefkmifgmaafnojlojpnekbpbmjiiogg/related?hl=en

Hi @dan_ahrens ,

well I am asking for the option to either open in new or stay in same, so everyone can choose. Switching to Chrome is not always possible and my suggestion provides everyone what he prefers.

Thanks

Swen

I have multiple users in my org ask whether they can choose how links are opened in Gainsight. They would love to not have a new tab for every link they click on. Can we get this on the roadmap?

@jason_metzler I came across a post about Mini 360 to be released this year (see this post thread):

I checked with our Gainsight CSM this morning and she informed me that Mini 360 is targeted for release late next month. Hopefully, this offers a good solution for users who don’t want new tabs opening (which is the case with all our CSMs).
