Differentiated visual identity for private groups

I’m looking for the ability to make slight variations to the visual identity of private groups in our community compared to all other public pages.

Use case: We have customers who are members of our general community but are also members of a private group that only includes other members from their own organization. It can be confusing to them whether they are posting in a forum that is available to all other members in the community or just those that are in their organization.

Desired solution: I'd like to be able to change the page background colour of just the private groups to visually denote when they are in their private space. Similar to an incognito tab on your web browser. I'd also like to be able to change the phrase on the lower button (that just posts in their private group) to differentiate it from the button in the upper right corner (that allows them to post anywhere in the general community). Currently, both buttons are linked and if I change using phrases on one, it automatically changes the other even though the functionality of these buttons are different.

Hi @Christa Brown thank you for sharing! I think the use case you described here is very clear - set up different visual styling for special groups. And I like the screenshot you shared above. Although we don’t have specific group configurations around phrases and colors now, would it be an idea to start from distinguishing the visual styles of the group image?

Hi @xiaoyu-shen, I’m not sure I fully understand your question. We have included the lock symbol in our group image to try to distinguish it from other groups/forums, which is a start, but more available configurations around phrases and background colour in particular would be more impactful in my opinion.

Got it, thanks for clarification. :)
