Support has confirmed that the current product design does NOT allow the Audience ‘Group By’ to be displayed on the chart legend - only the Events ‘Group By’ is shown. This is apparently by design but makes the charts legend unreadable when both Event and Audience grouping is used as it is impossible to distinguish which audience group is associated with a specific line or bar:
