Can you imagine living on a submarine for 2 years? How about surviving a 6 month crash course on nuclear power? And what does this all have to do with Gainsight administration anyway? For Travis Floyd, these experiences taught him many things, including how to break down projects into a series of tasks and learning components, as well as commit to a mission and see it through.

I recently sat down with @travis_floyd to hear how he started his career in the military, tried on a variety of different software technology hats, and ultimately landed in CS Ops. Currently, Travis is the CS Operations Manager for Armis; and a three-time Gainsight Admin.

So, how did he get here? As Travis says,

It’s not a destination, it’s a journey. It’s how you adapt to change and overcome, that determines your success.

And for folks transitioning out of the military, Travis wants you to know:

You’re capable of anything… whatever you put your mind to, you can get it done. And you’ve probably got a level of dedication and commitment dthat’s] higher than most.
