Comparing fields in Rules Engine, Reports, and Copilot

We have come across several situations that require us to compare fields when filtering rules, reports, and powerlists. We want to find accounts where Date A is greater than Date B, or Field A is equal to Field B. As far as we can tell, only the rules engine has a work around when setting up the actions, but the powerlists and reports remain a major struggle. Has anyone else run into a similar issue?

Hi Britton. Sorry you're feeling frustrated. :(

What we usually recommend when you have some complex logic criteria that you can't manage singularly in a powerlist is to create a field on the contact record to track that status. Then you only need to have a rule run daily that runs your logic and based on the rule results - updates that field on the contacts where that logic is true.

Then the final step is in your powerlist add that contact field to your selection criteria and you've got it!

    Hope this helps!

We have used workarounds similar to what you suggested in the past, but we have situations like this come up so often that creating a new field in Salesforce will start to clutter our records and become cumbersome. We could really use the ability built right into Gainsight.

Will work with engineering team on technical possibility and come back with Priorities and ETAs.

+1 on this, jumping through these hoops now, would love to see the comparison capability extended to copilot
