If a user has a "Customer Success Manager" user lookup field as well as a "Customer Success Manager Name" formula field on the Account object, we'll get two different "Customer Success Manager Name" field options when using report builder and rules engine.
Without actually adding the fields in and checking the data, we've got no way to determine which field is which, and can cause confusion when building rules/reports.
I'm wondering if there's anything on the road map to change the display name as it shows throughout Gainsight?
Currently we can change the name that a field displays as in report builder but it only impacts that single report.
What I'm envisioning is a similar change, but actually changes the way that the field is displayed any time Gainsight tried to fetch it.

There is a feature called Dataspaces for the same purpose. You can create a custom dataspace with all your fields and give display names for them. That dataspace can be used as data source in Reports and Rules.
Here is the documentation of Dataspaces: https://support.gainsight.com/Data_Management/Data_Spaces/Data_Spaces_Overview

Hi Tom, display name can be changed at the object level from data management or SFDC, this will reflect across entire Gainsight. Does this solve your use-case?
