Email assist not syncing over to SFDC as an "Email" task.

We've noticed that when syncing tasks into SFDC from email assist that the tasks are not saving with the type of "Email". Customer would like that task to reflect the correct type of activity that is being logged.

Hi Steve,

I have heard this request from multiple customers. We will probably have to provide 'Task Type' mapping configuration - both for cockpit task and activity types. We will think more on this and will keep you updated.

Hi Casey,

Ability to Sync Task type from GS to SFDC is already been worked on by the team, will update the ETA soon.

Hi Marta,

Before of some limitations, this is not available OOB but as a workaround, you can create a text formula field in csTask object and populate task type in it. You can then map this field with SF "Task Type" field to populate the correct data.
