Great idea, @Emil!
If we can’t remind user that event is about to start - user will miss this event for sure.
Extracting Excel file with data and uploading it for sending reminder is too many actions...
Having 1-hour reminder set up (which is being set 1 hour before event) with link to access event would make event functionality complete!
Thanks for submitting this idea @Emil!
This idea is a partial duplicate of this existing idea:
I’ll merge this idea into that one (which is only partially rather than fully delivered).
Here’s my current thinking about event reminders on inSided:
- For events hosted via webinar software, most of the time reminder functionality is built in to these products (e.g. Zoom/Gotowebinar). What we’d prefer to do in this case is provide an integration directly with webinar software so that the end user can press ‘attend’ on the community, and then be automatically signed up for the event, including reminder emails etc from the webinar software.
- For physical events / smaller super user events, we do see that having reminder emails directly on inSided can be handy - however, there aren’t so many of those at the moment
.
Curious to hear what you both think of the above @Emil @Kseniya !
