Hi all,

Very long story short: I would REALLY love to have a built-in, on-demand, dashboard in control, where I can set a date range and get an instant overview of the health and growth of our community for that time period.

For instance (and absolutely not limited to):

  • which topics are in need of some TLC from either a moderation or engagement side based on activity levels? (like the current status bar) Include likes given.

  • Which Superuser haven't logged in in a while? (general activity level so we can reach out)

  • Overview of user activity based on various events (should be sorted by ascending/descending)

  • Where are superusers most active? (Do we need to start looking for superusers to cover other areas?)

  • General Activity per board (New topics / new posts graph) + the number of unique users, superusers, staff etc

  • Average time between replies (our good Pierre is already working a mammoth sheet of doom to get that information)

  • Activity per category (new topics / new posts / questions graphs) + the number of unique users, superusers, staff etc

  • Overall average time to Moderation (also per category and board (and user))

  • A list of topics without replies

  • A list of topics marked as a question, with replies but without answers (like the filter)

  • Overall average time to answer (also per category/board (and user))

  • Answer rate per user role / custom role including peer to peer rate (answers not provided by staff)

  • Overall user activity (also drilled down to roles and custom roles) (and top 5/10/15 users for the date range)

  • Number of new registration, new user activity, rank ups and badge hand-outs

A small thing that would be wonderful to add to all this: A button to instantly filter purged/trashed topics, and/or topics from the moderation / other hidden categories and boards (This is to eliminate bloated data from spam, internal discussions etc.)

I'm aware that many of the above points can be reached through various filters in control, however that defy the purpose of "on-demand" - I don’t want to have to click a bunch of filters, or sort the basic overview, to get insights - just like I don't want to run a bunch of exports every day.

I've attached a very beautiful image of a quick draft idea which is by no means exhaustive with regards to data points that could be interesting.

I'm sure that InSided would love to get other Community Managers' insights and feedback on this, so don't be shy. :)

All the best,

Ditte
