One client asked if we could create summary level calculation with our reports like how SFDC does in its reports. I haven't found any solution that is longterm as they like to slice and dice the data by different attributes. I am wondering if someone found something long term.
Formulas
Thanks!

Hey Kevin,
We do have plans to introduce summary totals and basic formula's in reports. One follow-up question - I'm assuming that all these calculations can be done using formula fields in salesforce. If yes, can you let me know why the customer did not prefer the formula field route?
Thanks!

From what I am shown from the client, it was not preferred to do the formula field route because they are rolling up opportunities based on one pivoted attribute to get a global report. Having a formula on the opportunities does it job, but when they roll it up that formula by an attribute it gets summed by our reports or avg, etc and that isn't ideal as they want the formula which gives a percentage to use the high level, rolled up numbers, based on a or b or c attribute. Once they do another report based on another attribute the report level/summary formula should proactively recalculate based on the rolled up amounts based on the attribute.
Do you guys know where it is on the road map? Months wise?
*Edit Dec 31 - Slight grammer correction.

Oh yea, Highlighted in the Yellow in my screenshots is what the client wants to see in reports.
Hey Kevin,
I will connect with you on a call to understand the usecase further here.
Thanks!
