Hi community peeps!

For those of you who have both Gainsight PX and Digital Hub, are you using any engagements (knowledge bots, sliders, etc.) to drive people from your platform/website to your community? If so, what are some of the engagement ideas you have used that seem to draw folks in?

For those of you without PX - we are looking to drive more overall engagement within our community despite the time of year. Do you have any general engagement activities that you’ve seen work well, or that you get a good response to from community members?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey @jessicadaniels
I’m also using PX and CC (DH) and we’re still pretty early on in this journey.
I think there are two parts here: 1. Visibility and 2. Engagement:
1. There’s a lot to say about visibility that PX gives community via the widget. Having community included in searchable content is the warm up to engagement, right? Although a current challenge is not having any data on how users are consuming the community content via PX. It’s something that Gainsight are working on.

2 Engagement: One particular area of my community that works very well is beta programs. Having product managers promoting the many new features on trial allows our customers to come forward and show an interest and give them a platform to give feedback.
I’m also working on creating richer, customer driven content that can’t be found anywhere else. A curated article with 2/3 customers contributing to a topic might take a bit of time but it will set the bar high for the value that your community can deliver and so will bring people back for more. Then ask more members to contribute to similar content, these contributors will become engaged, and so on.

This is my approach, for now. Great topic for discussion though. Interested to hear more from others….

@sarahmasterton-brown Thank you for a thorough response here! I love to hear that there are more and more of us using both products so we can bounce ideas off of one another.

I love the idea of including our clients/members in creating help content! I think this could really get folks involved, and help other community members learn about a product or process through the eyes of their peers rather than just us.

Appreciate you sharing, and looking forward to hearing more input on this topic!

@jessicadaniels  - we just did a holiday contest for an ugly sweater and we are getting a lot of engagement, We are trying to mix content plus fun surprise and delight moments.  You can see the contest example here

We also have been doing product AMA’s with the PM team and hosting some exclusive content that has been driving engagement. Hope this helps.

Oooh, I love a good fun mix up! That’s a great idea and a fun way to bring the community each member’s personality! Great idea, thanks for sharing :)

@jessicadaniels we also have PX and have just tried using pop-ups, but that hasn’t really drove too much engagement honestly.

We do not suggest to plan a major migration to shake up the userbase via a PR outreach toward your Community just because we are doing it 🤡

The KC Bot drives a fair share of visits for us as well… @Alistair FIeld anything you’ve been counting?

Till then the ugly sweater contest is a winner for me!

Do as you say, not as you do, right? 🤣 Love this, thank you for the input here! Looking forward to hear what @Alistair FIeld can share as well.

Ha.. exactly! 😂
