Hi community, I’m looking for a way to create a temporary pop-up modal yet my html widget and css code only shows me a glimpse of the pop up I’ve tried to create only when I click to layout option in the control bar (?) Anyone who can help with the logic please? Thank you so much!

What is the roadmap for Gainsight CC for mobile? Interested in things like text notifications for example. 

Hey folks, TL;DR is that we are using the user groups function to do a cohort learning program. One of the ideas for “graduating” from the cohort is active community participation, specifically in their private group. We want to specifically track that people are posting a question, conversation, or reply in that group 2x a week.AFAIK, Groups data only shows Content (# posts created, # likes received, etc.). We could build a user segment of all members within cohort group, but that also only gives us surface level # of posts, replies, likes — we would have to manually look at each user profile to check their specific posting activity.Is there any way to look at Group activity for members within Analytics that I am missing? Maybe with the new Dashboards Beta?

Hi All - Is anyone pulling community results into Zendesk? If so, how? Are you using the embeddable widget? Have you set up a federated search? Just curious what our options are!

Hi Community! I have two questions regarding adding/inviting employee’s to the Community.How are you setting up their roles to indicate they employees but they only have regular register user rights? If they are setup, how do you make sure they are excluded from the Analytics reporting? I currently have a custom role and rank for our employees so that I can assign a logo and build a employee MVP board but it’s excluded from taking up a moderator/admin role. Do you have any workarounds for doing this more efficiently? I am responsible for sharing data metrics weekly at this point as our Community is new and trying to make this process easier.Any thoughts and advise is much appreciated!

I am in the process of using Segment visibility on widgets, in testing I have been experiencing delays in the updating of the actual widget.   For example, I assign the role, which updates the segment - test the page, behaves as expected.  I remove the role, it removes from the segment and I have significant delays, if it updates at all, in the widget behaving as expected ( i.e. it should no longer be visible to the user, but it is).   Is anyone else experiencing these latency issues?  I have done all of the following:User:Logged in and out Refreshed the screen Cleared the cacheAdminRefreshed the user screen Refreshed the segment screenAnyone have any other tip/tricks, suggestions of what I may be doing wrong?

Hey,Whenever I am moving content to a new category I always get this pop-up that warns me that subscribed users will be notified about the content being moved to the new category, but I am not sure it is working. My users who is subscribed to everything does not get notified, I've also tried with a non-admin user and that one doesn't get notified either…I would like subscribers to be notified especially when I am moving a misplaced post… otherwise the chances for the post to be receiving attention are reduced...

Hi All,Will spaces be available for CC? Is this something in the roadmap?

Is there a way that I’m not seeing to remove someone from the list of registrants for a Community event? We have a gated Community, and one of our customers informed us that one of their employees has left; they want to remove his name from the registration list for an event they’re hosting to free up capacity. Even though I have banned the user in question, they still appear as registered for the event, and I don’t seem to have a way to remove them. Has anyone else run into this? Are there registrant management options I’m missing somewhere? Thanks!

We are currently using Zapier to help communication between our moderation team and a few members from product that we feel need to be aware of conversations that are happening so they can be documented appropriately. Our zapier connection currently is sending messages to teams channels. One thing we have noticed that would be helpful is to include the notes that our Moderating Team is adding into the Team Notes in the Message that is sent to Microsoft Teams. I have been able to find a way to grab details such as Moderator Label through the API fetch, but I am looking to see if we can grab these Team Notes that are only visible in control? As a second part of this, we are possibly moving another part of the moderating team to getting notified via teams channels when a post hits ‘their area of expertise’ but would like to include the URL for the control side along with the URL for the front end (which is currently being included).If anyone has any recommendations or found a way to fetch

Is there a way to set up automated emails to user segments instead of roles? I’m trying to automate our gamification program email to congratulate the member and include a link to claim their prize, however right now I’m only able to ship prizes to community members in North America, so I don’t want the email to go out to anyone in another region. 

Hi there! Wondering if Gainsight offers any metrics on the default language settings chosen by user accounts in the community or if anyone tracks this and how? We can see what IP address/country users are coming from, but don’t necessarily know what language they’ve chosen to view the community in.

Hello - I am trying to delete 4 knowledge base categories that we are not using. When I attempt to delete the categories I receive an error saying the category has active or trashed topics. I’ve double and triple checked that no topics exist in the content overview or the trash can.Any thoughts?

We found out recently that 20% of all ideas submitted to our Community have been duplicates.I was curious if this was typical across other communities, how many duplicates do you all get?Second question, have you found any effective methods for reducing the number of duplicates that come in? 

Hi all. We’re preparing to launch our new Community end of October. I’m thinking about whether or not to use a Knowledge base in the Community, when we already have a very comprehensive and publicly accessible Support platform with Zendesk, and University courses and videos with Skilljar -- both of which will be accessible in the Community via federated search. We don’t want to duplicate that content in the Community.  So I'm thinking of things like this for the Community Knowledge base:Us vs. Competitors (great for SEM) Checklists, How To's and other content produced by Product Marketing (some of which is on our website) Helpful resources by our CS org having to do with adoption or deeper engagement with our softwareWould love any other ideas!

Hey Community - I’d like to get some examples of how other communities are handling ideation. I’m looking for details - IE integrations, timelines for responses, etc. I’m working with our products team to do a phased approach, but I’d love to show them how others are handling this. I’ll share a couple examples of ways I’ve done this in the past.Current Company:We’re looking to roll our phased feature requests. We use Jira for our feature request process. Right now only employees can open FRs. Customer success managers add their customers to the tickets in Jira, which gives some insights into votes. Customers can’t see Jira. When we release a new version, we say how many FRs we implemented, but there’s no place for all customers to see a full list - they are only notified of the ones they’ve been added to. I was pondering our metrics earlier this week, and it dawned on me that there isn’t an equivalent “Accepted Solution” moment for Conversations or Ideas to what’s available for Questions. Why this matters… Communities, I believe, benefit from shifting their forums from where people come to get solutions to a more positive narrative. Imagine this - instead of your forum being only (or mostly) filled with questions that other community members answer, it’s full of questions, brainstorm sessions, life updates, photos of puppies and volunteer opportunities. It’s a space where people want to go, because it’s fun, positive and unexpected. Great, right?!? But right now, there isn’t an equivalent to “Accepted Solution” for the other types of posts. So as community forums start to shift, data will show a drastic decrease in the amount of Accepted Solutions in the community. Specifically, is there a way to see the requester’s first name, last name, company name, and the date of the request?This would help us better manage approvals and understand who’s joining.
