??...Matthew Lind…??

CSOps and Gainsight Admin at Auctane

We know him for his bowties and his fluorescent passion to make others around him successful, but there’s so much more to unpack about @matthew_lind. ?

Matthew’s experience with Gainsight

My Gainsight journey is now eight years long, having deployed my first instance of Gainsight in the spring of 2015. Since then, I’ve worked directly on four Gainsight instances of all shapes, sizes and editions. I’m 3x-Gainsight certified, holding Level 1, Level 3 and the End User certification. I’m especially proud of that last one; it would have been quite the blow to find out I could administer Gainsight but that I couldn’t actually use it!

His experience with the Gamechanger Community

I host in-person meetups for CS and CS Ops in Austin, TX. This is my tribe, my spot where I feel connected. I love meetups because the CS community is full of really smart folks who genuinely want to help. The community that forms organically when you put CS experts together is amazing.

In the GameChanger community, I’m continually astonished at the creativity of the solutions some folks suggest, and the free spirit with which we help each other. Yes, the GameChangers are professionals who do what I do, and they are also my friends.

Gainsight Global Admin meetup, Austin Tx in Jan 2022… completely self-hosted by the Admins themselves

Within CS Ops, I’m very passionate about “helping up” newer CS Ops practitioners and Gainsight administrators. The phrase “helping up” is deliberate. What an honor it is to give a helping hand to our colleagues and friends in the industry, especially newer folks who are very talented and just need some “helping up” once in a while. One of my most inspiring friends–a Salesforce leader who partnered with me on my first Gainsight instance–says, ““When you find something you really love, your first instinct is to share it.” So for me, I just want to “share it” with you, whether that’s your successes or your frustrations or your questions or your triumphs.

Some non-geek fun

When I’m not CS Ops-ing, I’m an endurance athlete. I’m not fast, but I can do things for a long time. Given I grew up overweight and wore husky-sized jeans to middle school, it’s pretty unlikely that I became an athlete. Among the highlights, I’ve run 7 marathons, completed 9 half-Ironman triathlons, and finished the Ironman triathlon twice.

I love bowties, especially the ones I tie myself. If we’re both at Pulse and you see a bowtie, it just might be me. Please stop me and say hello!

Oh yes, Matthew has curated some amazing CS inspiration for us.

??...Alizée Levavasseur…??

Customer Success at Blue Prism

Alizee loading...

Alizee started in GameChanger Community scene in late 2021 is known, by her own admission to be overly precise and detailed when it comes to work and within 1 year… she was nominated for Product Council 2023! @alizeeNow that is ?

Alizée’s experience with Gainsight

From taking on a role to drive digital customer success in my region, I also became the Gainsight system owner. Couldn''t actually be happier as I''m a systems gal and nothing makes me quite as happy as being hands-on with technology.

My Gainsight admin life changed when I (re-)discovered data designer over a year ago. Discovered during admin training. Then forgotten. Then re-discovered. This tool and more generally the engine behind it and Horizon Rules are (in my opinion) Gainsight’s ultimate strength and I feel empowered to do (pretty much) anything the business asks with this combo of tools.

I''ve been very Digital CS focused in recent months (so JO) but the typical month is a blend of peaks of data management/architecture/flow building/maintenance and journey building.

Her experience with the GameChanger Community

I joined the Community quite early on (September 21 and I started in September 21) but I was very quiet at first. I''ve seen a bit more engagement in recent months and have also found myself more engaged (I think that''s happened when I discovered the Slack community had a channel to give ideas and questions more visibility, and I realised I could actually share my knowledge and gain some at the same time.

This has influenced my own behavior on the GameChanger community and shifted my attention from just requesting to also answering others'' queries.

Some non-geek fun

Yes, the bandana has a skull printed on it so when you wear it on your mouth to not eat too much dust, it aligns with your face so the bottom of your face looks like a skull. These things are brilliant ? - Alizee

Well, I love what sometimes refer to as "extreme music"… I''m a headbanger of sorts. People are typically quite surprised about that. ☠️

And you know what? One of our key digital CS programs is code-named after an event where this kind of music is played. That''s a private joke between me and the colleague whom I first worked on this concept with. He came up with that name and this is the best program code-name that will ever exist.

Recently found myself installing rolling shutters on rotating roof windows using a power drill for the first time in my life and it''s one of my proudest achievements. Didn''t even break the 2mm drill (screw heads are another story).

??...Lisa Mirth…??

Senior Trainer, Education Services at Gainsight

Lisa’s gone way further than her classroom duties to make the early Gainsight Admin onboarding her life’s mission with the Beginner Admins in Training group. An educator at heart, Let’s hear it from @lisa.mirth ??‍?

Lisa’s journey with Gainsight

I started with Gainsight 8 years ago when the St. Louis office was much smaller.  We were growing so quickly we were sharing desks in that small space. I began as a Project Manager working with small onboarding projects.  Back then we didn''t have the tools we have now to help customers get started using our product. So, much of my time was spent working with admins to understand how to configure Gainsight.  This is what eventually landed me on the Education team.

The greatest part of my time at Gainsight has been meeting admins during events.  At one time, I had recorded training sessions available online and admins would approach me saying they recognized my voice from the many hours of recordings they had listened to.  I have loved meeting so many smart, creative, wonderful admins and knowing I had even the smallest part in their journey.

Her journey with the GameChanger Community

I love the Beginner Admin Community group because there are so many new admins from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences coming together.  Everyone has such creative ways of using the Gainsight tools to solve problems that every day is a learning opportunity.

Some non-geek fun

When I''m not working, I spend time with family and friends enjoying the beach and Jeepin.

??...Oli Marriott…??

CustomerSuccess for inSided by Gainsight

We’ve known, and leant time and again on Oliver for his inSided platform wizardry to deliver cool UX projects on GameChanger that you’ve enjoyed, and this is before and even during his transitioning to his new role as a CSM ?

He, along with @insidedtom have been the magicians behind the most high visibility projects delivered on the Community:

Introducing @olimarrio

Oli’s journey with Gainsight

I started my journey with inSided 2 years ago as a Product Specialist as part of the Support team and wider Customer Success team. It gave me a solid foundation in understanding the technical aspects of the product. Since the Gainsight acquisition, I''ve transitioned into the role of a CSM, which has been great to take a step back and look at the bigger picture of our customer''s community strategy.

His journey with the GameChanger Community

I''ve been involved in a couple of initiatives involving the GameChanger Community. The migration of ideas from our legacy ideation module to the new ideation module was fun as well as challenging. Challenging, as there were a lot of ideas to migrate and data points that needed to be mapped.

Fun, as we started the project when Gainsight was still a customer of inSided and completed it after the acquisition. It was fun to see how this affected the project, starting it as customers and finishing it as colleagues. I think it goes to show how similar Gainsight''s and inSided''s values were that it didn''t have much effect at all.

I also implemented the changes for last year''s redesign. It was super rewarding to give the community a refresh.

I''m quite active on the inSpired community but I plan to get more involved in the GameChanger Community in the year ahead.

Some non-geek fun

Outside of work, my hobbies include, cricket, running, bouldering and travelling. I also help out on my parents’ farm when they need. Lambing season is coming up, so I''m expecting a call soon ?

Oli on the farm ?

Kudos to fellow spotlight members @matthew_lind @lisa.mirth @olimarrio 👏.

PS1: That program code name is ‘Healthfest’. And well, I’ll leave y’all to guess the name of the event 😅.

PS2: The recap of released ideas brought my attention to a few details 🤣 that I had not come across (or had missed).
