Welcome back!Ā  Between Monday 11th and Monday 18th December we were busy merging our Gainsight and inSpired communities. Now weā€™re back and are excited to share our new multi-product community with you!

A couple of important things you need to know:

  • For security reasons weā€™re not able to migrate passwords - that means you need to reset your password the first time you come back after the merge.Ā  It just takes a few moments!
    Ā 
  • We arenā€™t able to migrate Group membership, so youā€™ll need to re-join any Groups you were previously part of. Donā€™t worry, weā€™re also going to be sending out invites to make it really easy for you!

What else has changed?Ā  A lot!Ā  šŸš€

  • We now have community discussion areas for all of our Gainsight products (CS, PX, CC and CE) and every product has a new landing page full of relevant content, links and resources.
  • We now have industry best practice areas for Customer Success, Product Experience, Communities, and Customer Education.
  • Weā€™ve greatly simplified the taxonomy of the community categories so itĀ should be much easier to find your way around.

And finally, there are a few more things to be aware of.Ā  For technical reasons, we have unfortunately not been able to migrate the following:

  • Subscriptions to topics and categories
  • Private messages
  • The activity feed on user profile pages (to find your old content, you can click Topics, Replies or Solved from your profile)

There will probably be some minor issues for us to iron out in the coming days and weeks.Ā  If you see anything wonky, or have feedback for us, please do share it as a reply in this thread.Ā  Weā€™d love to hear from you!

The new community space is looking great, @Kenneth R!

Quick question: will all the pre-existing beta groups be re-created? I re-joined the admins in training group, but was unable to find the other groups I was originally a member of:

  • Gainsight Beta Program
  • New Email Template Builder Beta Program
  • JO Advanced Programs Beta Program

Having those groups made it easier to post questions and ideas specific to those JO areas, and Iā€™m curious if thatā€™s an option post migration.

Thank you for the quick response, @anirbandutta! Yup, I knew Iā€™d need to rejoin the groups, I just wasnā€™t sure whether some of those groups might be invisible in the new community, or if they needed to be re-created still, which is why I took a screenshot of my groups prior to the freeze to make sure I remembered which ones I was a part of.Ā šŸ˜€

So the Betas are there, you will be re-invited back and have access to all your engagement.

Oh Btw, the ā€˜Gainsight Beta programā€™ group did itā€™s job and now lives as a document filling in for that purpose.
