Trying to find documentation on this language indicator next to the create a topic on our platform. Anyone know where/when this came from? I have been looking for release information all morning.

You’re not alone. The comments of this product update are full of a lot of us surprised that it popped up on our communities. I think we all assumed the enhancement would be opt-in / toggle-on, not auto-on for all communities by default. 

 

If you follow this post, you can hide it using the Custom CSS option. 

Where to add custom CSS

 

Then, if/when you’re ready to use the language switching feature, just remove that CSS and it will show again on your community.

I missed it too. 

There’s not a way to subscribe to release notes (they just recently started doing them), so subscribing to product updates (more product marketing type version of similar info) is one way to stay semi up-to-date. They usually announce things there too. (Although you’ll get emails about every product update post, not just CC features)
