Hi everybody,

our community users need an email notification, when we post new events?
Is this already possible? We can we notify our users automatically when there is a new event?

We would also find this useful but it isn’t possible at the moment (looking at the FAQs)

There is a Idea to allow people to subscribe to events to get notified of newly added events

@RobPlace is correct it isn’t possible to subscribe to events so that community members get an email notification at this current point in time. 

We do have some upcoming improvements planned to the Events module over the next few months. Whilst I cannot confirm this 100%, it’s likely this functionality will be included. The only caveat being that our team need to limit the scope of the changes so that they can also begin work on another anticipated feature, the Notification Centre. So there’s a possibility that this could be postponed if time runs out.

I’ll be sure to keep you updated once I know for definite.
