Move a topic : is there a specific change?

We are still having this "issue" and it's not really ideal. I think we should either be able to merge a whole topic into another one, or if that's not possible then insided needs to show me the same topic I was just working on and not show the topic I just moved the comment to.

Right now, if I want to move a whole topic, I have to open it in two different tabs on the browser.

One to move all replies and a second one to move the first post.

Is this still work in progress? 🙂

Hey Anja, no this feature is no longer being worked on, there was an issue preventing topics being moved which was fixed.

When this feature was built this was the behaviour we expected the moderator would want, to be automatically redirected to the topic you've just moved the posts too. But as first posts can't also be moved with replies, I can see how this could be annoying. I will give this feedback back to the product team as a way to improve merging topics.

I think its just from newer clients that we've gotten this feedback recently (probably because the older clients are just used to it by now), but I've discussed it with the Product team and they will look into creating an improved flow so that merging topics is simpler but I've no idea yet when this we be looked at because currently its not a roadmap item, but its been added to our backlog.
