As far as I can tell, there’s no way to control permissions for the Events module like you can with the Ideation and Product Updates module. Is that correct?

Use case: Public community, but turning off permissions to unregistered users (or other roles).

Hi @DannyPancratz  , I hope you are well.

That’s correct, there’s no way to set permissions on events at the moment. The event is either a community event which is public to everyone or an event that is published in a private group - in this case it''s only visible to that group''s members.

A few workarounds you could use to make this module less accessible to unregistered users would be to use the inSidedData object to hide the link to the events page or to display a custom HTML widget on the events page which prompts the user to login/register in order to view the list of upcoming events. Obviously this doesn’t completely restrict unregistered users from accessing the Events page but it can limit their visibility as well as help guide users to the desired part of the platform depending on their role.
