Hey I am looking for ideas to benefit from the Product Update feature but for something else than product-related things as we don't have products :-)

I thought it could be the place for general community news or hosting the online versions of our newsletters…

Is anyone using this feature for other things than updates about products?

Yes, I’ve done that for two Gainsight communities, including my current company. 
 

for me, it’s just a blog.
 

On my first community, we didn’t have products either; it was our article publisher. That worked well because the KB is built for documentation, not blogging. 
 

On my current community, I just renamed it Updates and we publish community news, product news, Academy news, and documentation updates. 
 

one consideration: because it’s designed for Product Updates, the filter on the sidebar uses the Product Areas you have set for your community. These are the same ones used for Ideas. If that’s not a fit, you can hide the filter and just rely on the feed.
