Hello! An issue I’ve been having is we have a lot of courses that need frequent updates, though when I re-publish a course with new docs or videos, it sets everyone’s progress back down to zero even if they’ve already completed parts of the course that did not change. Is there a solution for this that I’m missing?

Hi @Laurenshron - we had the same issue. We then moved to the interim ‘silent publishing’ feature where there are no draft versions and it keeps everyone on the same version (which is way better than the out-of-the-box behaviour). I don’t think there’s a solution for this yet, but I’ve been told that the product team are working on addressing the whole publishing process which should fix this pretty soon. Worth checking in with your CSM on where this is at!

Thanks for the response @JoelEaton ! My understanding was that ‘silent publishing’ wasn’t available yet, can you tell me where that is? Hoping for those updates to the publishing process soon. Our Account Manager actually suggested posting here to inform the product team for their upcoming roadmap. It sounds like this is a longer term item...

Hi @Laurenshron  - sorry for the delayed response, I missed the notification.

After coming unstuck with this, Gainsight removed draft statuses for us, so that everything is only in one version. We now only have Published or Archived courses.  This, I believe, is an interim solution to the new feature of silent publishing whereby you can keep learners on the same version, regardless of completion status, coming soon (2025?).
