We have a field on the GS Relationship that we'd like to add to the Activity Timeline to use for triggering CTAs. I understand it's not possible to write data to the Timeline using Rules Engine, so would like to understand what our options are. Thanks!



If it's a field that the CSM would update manually, you can create that custom field on the Timeline activity type: https://support.gainsight.com/Timeline/Admin_Guides/Configure_Timeline_View_for_C360_and_R360#Add_New_Custom_Fields_to_Activity_Layout





If it's a field that the CSM won't be changing and is part of the GS Relationship record for that account/relationship - then use a bionic rule to bring that data in along with the relevant timeline data as your source data when building your rule that creates the CTA.
