Hi all,

Curious if anyone out there has a creative solution for this one.

We built a scorecard, and it is great — but it is multi-year data hinged on a ‘Start Date’ of MM/DD/YYYY format.  I would love to explore how to make this YYYY/MM or YYYY-MM and still be a date type field to group off of in report builder.

Hope that makes sense. Issues arise in exports where we get Jan, Oct, Nov, Dec, Feb, Mar ….

Thanks ahead of time,

DB

This might be possible if you are on the SFDC version and if you use SFDC calculated fields. But I’m not sure you’d be able to keep the date field type. You would need to use formulas to pull out the month and year numbers and then format it as a text field.

Date fields are automatically formatted in both SFDC and Gainsight and I don’t believe there is any way to change this in either system.

Hope this helps!
