@Tejashwini Golla Would like to assign a renewal opportunity to a success plan .Probably in the form of a field  in one of the section

Hi @Harika Singadi

Please implement the below steps, to ensure that the opportunity link is readily accessible within the Success Plan

  1. Create a Custom Field in the Company Object: This field will be used to store the opportunity link.
  2. Add the Custom Field to the Plan Info Section or any other section of the success plan.
  3. Update the Custom Field Using the Rules Engine: The rules engine will dynamically update the field. Specifically, it will consider the latest renewal opportunity for each account and populate this data into the custom field.

Kindly try these steps once and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks  @Tejashwini Golla .

Is there a way we can think to handle renewal opps with  different close dates?
Is there a way we can have adrop down of renewal opps so that csm can select the right one clearing the ambiguity?

Hi @Harika Singadi

Right now, we don’t have a way to link opportunities at the Success Plan level but we can link opportunities at the Objective (CTA) level. Please go through this small video that I have created explaining the process of linking opportunities to CTAs.

@Tejashwini Golla Why are you creating the field on the company object? If you do it that way you only ever get one Opportunity.

If you do it on the Objective then the information won’t be on the SP level. And you could tie multiple to one SP which could create an issue in reporting.

You can achieve this by adding a lookup directly on the SP object. And then you can define the lookup and then define the UI field name, display field, search configuration, and filtering(to ensure you only bring in opps tied to the 360.

You cna even then add additional fields on the SP layout through the lookup from the Opp object. Saving time from people having to click all over the place.
