Can we customize button on opportunity List View in Customer 360 which navigate to salesforce Flow.

Current there is a new button which opens the model/pop-up to select record type later which take us to opportunity Creation screen. Can we change it to launch Flow on click of Add Button. @anirbandutta

Hi @Himanshu Karnwal

Just wanted to clarify - Would you like me to change this into an idea for upvotes?

@revathimenon  Is it possible to achieve this with a known solution or workaround as of now?

@Himanshu Karnwal can you provide additional details:

  • Where in the program are you?
  • Why do you want to go to Salesforce flow? Why would end users need to go there?
  • Provide screenshots

Thanks.

@alizee Thank you for your reply.

  • Where in the Program are you ?
    • From the Customer Success 360 tab, navigate to Opportunities > List View > Add Button.
  • Why do you want to go to Salesforce flow? Why would end users need to go there?
    • We aim to streamline the process for Sales Representatives (internal users) by guiding them through a specific path for creating opportunities using Salesforce Flow.
    • Currently, when the "Add" button is clicked, a modal appears for selecting the record type, and upon confirmation, it navigates to the Salesforce New Creation page. Instead, we would like to redirect users to the Flow when they click the "Add" button or confirm their selection, whichever is easier to implement.

@Himanshu Karnwal You don’t look like you’re on Gainsight NXT - I’ve never seen this kind of UI in C360. But anyway, that button is like core functionality of Gainsight. It’s the same for everyone and I’m 99,999999% sure it can’t be changed.

If you need to follow a process using Salesforce flow, why do you want your sellers (why are sellers in Gainsight?) to initiate the process of creating an opportunity from Gainsight?

More context would be appreciated to understand your business process, but at first glance, I think you need to focus on re-engineering your business process. I’m not sure there’s value in sellers initiating the creation of an opportunity in Gainsight with a button that would take them to Salesforce.

@Himanshu Karnwal No, it’s not. This is hardcoded the same for everyone. As I said, I think you need to re-evaluate your business process. If you want sellers to create opportunities via the Salesforce flow, WHY do you want them to initiate that process in Gainsight?

If you need to create opportunities in Gainsight but want interaction with a Salesforce workflow, you can consider using CSQL’s that are captured in GS and then synced over the Opportunity object in Salesforce.  I think that could be a potential work-around if I am interpreting the ask properly.

But to @alizee ‘s point above, it would be important to establish the proper business workflow prior to solutioning.

@alizee It’s not seller who are creating the opportunities over here. It’s CSM who are using it for termination opportunities.
