In V5.0, the layout of the Data Anomalies page should be reviewed. The height of the table with the "Accounts with no CustomerInfo field value" is to short.

I may add that for our account merging section we should have more details such as customer stage and other attributes would be helpful to know which one to merge or delete.

This is the first time I have been to the Data Anomalies page. Has anyone ever had problems with accounts/contacts after fixing or merging the CustomerInfo field?

Data Anomalies happen from Account Merging in SFDC. SFDC does a good job merging all data in GS where a Account Lookup Exists. Fixing Data Anomalies is only to eliminate the Customer info Record or Update an Account record with no Customer Info Lookup when that Account is in GS.
